Welcome to the Filipino Community Organization of the Monterey Peninsula!
We’re a warm, welcoming hub where Filipinos and friends of the community gather to celebrate Filipino culture, share stories, and provide community support to one another. From traditional dances and music to new talents, we honor our roots while building a vibrant future right here on the beautiful Monterey Peninsula. Our doors are open to everyone—whether you’re new to the area or a longtime resident. We also host the annual Fiesta Sa Nayon, family picnics, and fundraisers that help sustain scholarships for students and community programs. How we got started
We are the Filipino Community Organization of the Monterey Peninsula, a volunteer-driven group dedicated to fostering community support while bringing people together to celebrate Filipino culture, support one another, and strengthen the broader community here in Monterey and the surrounding area. Our activities include cultural events, Filipino language and heritage workshops, youth mentorship and leadership programs, senior outreach, and charitable fundraisers, including scholarships for students. What began in a garage in Seaside has now expanded into larger gatherings in the Monterey area, showcasing our commitment to creating welcoming spaces where families and individuals can connect, learn, and thrive.
We do what we do because the Filipino community here deserves a strong, united voice and a place to call home away from home. Our mission is to preserve and share our rich heritage, promote mutual aid and intergenerational support, and assist newcomers in navigating life in a new country. By fostering cultural pride, providing resources and guidance, and collaborating with local organizations, we aim to build resilience, belonging, and opportunities for everyone in the Monterey Peninsula.

What we do: We are a Filipino community organization serving the Monterey Peninsula, dedicated to community support and raising funds for scholarships for students, specifically Filipino American students pursuing higher education. We organize fundraising events, engage local partners, and enlist volunteers to ensure resources reach talented students in our community. Through scholarships, mentorship, and community programs, we emphasize academic achievement, leadership, and service, helping students overcome financial barriers as they pursue college and vocational training.
Why we do it: We believe education transforms lives and strengthens our community for the long term. By investing in the education of Filipino American youth, we honor our Filipino culture, promote opportunity, and foster future leaders who will contribute to Monterey Peninsula society. Your support—through donations, volunteering, or partnerships—directly expands access to scholarships for students, reduces the burden of tuition and related costs, and creates pathways for personal and professional growth for deserving students.
